Jodi Lovoi started singing almost before she could talk. She was playing the piano by age 5 and singing at weddings with her father (Pharmacist and part-time musician) Joe Lovoi by age 10.

At age 14 she taught herself how to play the guitar and by 21 was performing solo gigs in local bars and restaurants around Texas. Jodi was very popular with the local folks playing lots of cover tunes with a few original songs mixed in.

Not knowing how to further her music career, at age 24, Jodi dropped out of the music scene completely and began a corporate career with Hallmark Cards. Twelve years past and even though she enjoyed her work, there was something missing from her life---MUSIC!!! "I had to start writing and singing again because my heart felt empty."

So, Jodi picked up her guitar and with a new sense of herself wrote a song to her grandmother entitled "With Your Love". Performing it live before 400 people at her grandmother's 80th birthday party, her performance drew an overwhelming response and ignited her passion to create more original music.

Jodi's music and voice caught the ear of Rick McRae (George Strait's lead guitarist for over 20 years). Rick loved what he heard and offered to produce Jodi's first record entitled "Rhythms of Life".

Besides producing the record, Rick played many of the instruments (acoustic guitars, electric guitars and mandolin). He also got together other members of George Strait's band --- Ron Huckaby (Keyboards), Terry Hale (Acoustic Bass), and Gene Elders (Violin) to play on Jodi's record. Besides his fellow band members, he also recruited two other well-known musicians Rick Connell (Drums) and Lynn Daniel (Bass).

These musicians were able to capture the essence of what Jodi felt when she wrote this music. What resulted from this blend of musical talent is an incredible journey of the soul that will capture your heart.
